That one of Impulse's goals is to encourage it's members to become music educators?

Since our beginnings in 1999, several of our members are now working band directors at the high school and middle school levels?

Impulse has had members come from far away lands such as Japan, Philippines, Florida, Massachusetts, Ohio, Arizona, Texas and Tennessee to name a few places.

Open House & Free Clinic
This free event is schedule at the end of October of each year.

Impulse Drum Corps Workshops
Begin in November and December each year.

Auditions
Begin in January of each season

Membership
Membership is based on 3 factors.

  • Passing Auditions / Positive Attitude
  • Being able to afford membership fees and pay on time.
  • Making the time commitment to be at all rehearsals, camps, and participate in the state and national competition tour.

    ...is the 2006
    DCI Div III
    World Champion, making Impulse the only DCI World Champion in the LA, Orange County area since 1972

    ...has been a Div II Finalist since 2003

    ...performed in the 2002 Hollywood Lane
    Christmas Parade, known that year as the Blockbuster Hollywood Spectacular

    ...performs every year in the Huntington Beach 4th of July parade since 2001 ..which is televised.

    Has been in existence since 1999.
